Law Enforcement Use/Security

Local law enforcement agencies and/or individual officers are welcome to schedule an appointment to discuss and/or make arrangements for future use of DCSA facilities, including special low light shooting capabilities.

The Range Training Officer for an agency desiring to check out DCSA facilities, requirements, costs, etc. should contact Lonnie Ward at snail-mail address shown on home page, dcsa1996@yahoo.com or via mobile phone (940-241-2376).

While the most common use of DSCA facilities is for individual officer qualifications indoors with handguns during the day, local SWAT or SORT team members have and may conduct specialized training operations outdoors with night-vision equipment, dogs, etc.

Local LEOs whose departments (Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Double Oak and Highland Village) have arrangements with DCSA for qualifications may also be able to practice 24/7 at no additional cost. Officers with such interest should get approval from supervisor then:

(1) Read all applicable "Required Reading" pages on this web site

(2) Attend a scheduled Open House and 1-hour DCSA safety Orientation (see links on left)

(3) Complete Liability Release and obtain door lock combination

Other certified Peace Officers who opt for a "Freedom Plan" for personal practice purposes can have inexpensive access to the indoor range (when not in use) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. See "Freedom Plan" page(s) for details.
