Private Sessions for Inexperienced Shooters
Private Sessions for Inexperienced or Sporadic Shooters
Special sessions may sometimes be possible for new or infrequent shooters to complete the DCSA safety orientation and subsequently become familiarized with the operation of a specific rifle, handgun or shotgun (whether the student's or instructor's). Such sessions typically take at least 1 1/2 hours with a $100 minimum.
Similar sessions can sometimes be arranged for more experienced shooters to get some trigger time semi-independently if range officer is a position to meet "new members" on site, unlock the building, conduct the $31.88 orientation described on "Facilities and Fees" page and stick around on an hourly basis (typically $60 per hour). Other sessions (such as below) at $60 hr. + ammo, targets, cleaning, cleaning supplies and/or travel.
* Personalized range sessions for novice & intermediate CHL shooters
* Classroom training portions at DCSA or student's private location
* Accompaniment to DFW area gun shops / shows / ranges
* Sight-in of scoped rifles; 50' preliminary. See link on left regarding chronograph.
* Individual rifle coaching for merit badge practice and qualifications.
